Megan Koreman, Ph.D. has returned from her European archival research to begin work on a chapter outline and a first-chapter draft of ORDINARY HEROES: THE DUTCH PARIS LINE. Dr. Koreman has visited archives in the Netherlands, France, England Switzerland, Belgium and Holland. She will be searching in the US archives in Washington shortly. Dr. Koreman has found the staffs at many archives to be most helpful. As an example of her reception, she tells about her visit to the military archives outside of Paris:
“I think that I can safely say that I am the first researcher to look at almost all of the 135 Dutch-Paris dossiers at the army archives here in France.
I can say this because a handful of the dossiers have sub-folders of the correspondence needed to get special permission to see them. The most
recent ones date from 2003…Capitaine (Longuet) has discovered some very thick folders about Dutch-Paris in some obscure corner of his catalog
and is concerned that I can’t get through it by my train this evening.”
Dr. Koreman has described her research adventures in detail on her blog (www.dutchparisblog.com).
