Rudy Zeeman has had his article on Dutch-Paris published in the July 2011 journal De Schakel. De Schakel is the official publication of the Stichtung Genootschap Engelandvaarders. Engelandvaarders are “Netherlanders or a Netherland subject, who, between May 14,1940 and June 6, 1944, against the wish of the enemy escaped from enemy occupied Netherlands or its overseas territories with the purpose of contributing to the Allied war effort”.
Rudy Zeeman, an Engelandvaarder now living in Tasmania, is a member of the European Advisory Committee. He has used his influence with the Stichtung to have news about the Weidner Foundation and the upcoming publication of Ordinary Heroes placed in various escape and evasion magazines (see article in the Archives section on escape and evasion publications).
In addition to drawing the reader’s attention to Ordinary Heroes, Zeeman invited the De Schakel readers to financially support the book project.
The Weidner Foundation invites Engelandvaarders who may have used the Dutch-Paris Line to contact Dr. Megan Koreman through her blog (http://www.dutchparisblog.com) and share their story with her. Should the reader like to read about Zeeman’s escape via Dutch-Paris, please contact me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and I will put you in touch with Mr. Zeeman.
